Description

RNase-free, hydrophobic covers are lighter weight than glass. Polycarbonate plastic cover slides are ready to use without washing or siliconization. Hydrophobic working surfaces are protected with clean release liners to prevent RNase contamination. The plastic cover slides remain flat and will not curl, even at high temperatures. Plastic cover slides do not chip, crack, or break and are dust-free. Square cover slides are supplied protected in a sandwich polyethylene film. The circle cover slides are packed between fiber-free paper slips. Use Dow Corning® Vacuum Grease (HR3-510), Dow Corning® 7 Release Compound (HR3-508), or immersion oil to seal cover slide to plate.

Description

PEN-VAC is a great tool for handling small, flat surfaced objects such as plain and siliconized cover slides, as well as plastic slides. Simply depress the side button, touch the tip to the object to be lifted and release the button. PEN-VAC creates a totally self-contained vacuum that lifts up to 50 grams for up to one minute. Less than an ounce, the lightweight aluminum body fits in a pocket. No power supply needed. The kit includes one PEN-VAC with 5 3/4″ blue body, (3) angled and (3) straight probes with (2) each 1/8”, 1/4”, 3/8” diameter blue silicone vacuum cups . Description

The Cover Slide Vacuum Gadget™ allows one to pick up a single cover slide, invert the slide and gadget, rest the gadget on the bench so the slide rests as if on a pedestal, pipet the drop onto the slide, then use the gadget to place and release the slide onto the crystallization plate. The Gadget is a hand held vacuum bulb with a single Buna-N vacuum cup. Squeeze the bulb, press the vacuum cup to the slide, ease the squeeze on the bulb to create a vacuum and the slide is held in place at the end of the Gadget. When ready to position and place the slide give the Gadget a gentle squeeze to release the vacuum. Single bulb with 3/8″ (9.53 mm) diameter cup.

Description

48 well plate with sealant for hanging drop vapor diffusion crystallization with a microplate footprint. Stackable, optically clear plastic, 48 well plates with raised covers (to allow room for cover slides) and flat bottoms for exceptional optics. Raised, wide rings around each reservoir (well) minimize cross contamination and allow each well to be individually sealed with 12 mm diameter circle cover slides. Plates are individually wrapped and supplied with applied sealant. The microplate footprint is space-saving and compatible with automated liquid handling systems.

Description

The Intelli-Plate 48-2 (Art Robbins 102-0002-00) is a 48 well sitting drop plate for optimization. The plate features 6 reagent wells along the y-axis (A-F) and 8 reagent wells along the x-axis (1-8). The reagent reservoir is typically filled with 200 µl and is capable of holding up to 500 µl. The optimization drop wells are arranged at the top of each well. The left sample drop well holds 4 µl or less while the elongated sample drop well holds 20 µl or less. Plates are made of polystyrene.

The plates can be sealed using Crystal Clear Sealing Film (HR3-609), 3 inch wide Crystal Clear Sealing Tape (HR4-506) or ClearSeal Film™ (HR4-521).

Description

MRC Maxi 48-Well Crystallization Plate for Automated Optimization

The MRC Maxi optimization plate is a breakthrough for macromolecular crystallization presented in a 48 well format. Offering easy to automate crystallization optimization with large sitting-drops, the new MRC Maxi Crystallization plate is the perfect solution. Manufactured by Swissci AG, the plate offers an SBS format while providing 48 wells. MRC Maxi is intended for large drops and is compatible both with standard robotic systems as well as manual pipetting.

The plate was developed at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (Cambridge, UK) in collaboration with Jan Löwe and Fabrice Gorrec. It is a result of many years of experience in successful robotic high-throughput crystallization and complements the original MRC crystallization plate, which is intended for smaller drop volumes and higher throughput during screening.

Drop volumes of up to 10 µl are possible. The 9 mm standard distance between wells is preserved, enabling the use of multi-channel manual pipettes and robotic liquid handlers, making MRC Maxi one of the most automation-friendly optimization plates on the market.

MRC Maxi is covered by global intellectual property and design registration as are the Swissci AG MRC 2 lens 96 well plates. Several breakthrough features of the original MRC plate have been maintained. Wells are labeled individually. Drops are raised for easy access during crystal retrieval. MRC Maxi uses the same proprietary polymer specially selected for the purpose of UV light visualization and the material used keeps through-plastic evaporation to a minimum. Well shapes are spherical but shallow. The

MRC Maxi Crystallization plate offers unique properties that make it the ideal choice for microliter-sized optimization experiments and is made from UV compatible UVP.

Description

The CrystalHarp plate is designed for crystallization based on capillary diffusion and can be used for crystallization screening and optimization.

Capillary diffusion achieves a much broader screening of variables in one single experiment. The CrystalHarp plate contains 48 capillaries in total and is in an ANSI/SBS 1-2004-standard format to facilitate handling and imaging.

Addition of cryoprotectants or derivatives for phasing studies can be easily added after crystal appearance. The SBS format enables the usage of the plate directly on beam line robots or alternatively single capillaries can be easily mounted to standard magnetic base, enabling in situ diffraction analysis.

The unique capillary material allows data collection at room temperature. Flash-freezing in a liquid nitrogen stream (with or without the use of cryoprotectants) is also feasible. The formation of ice-rings is kept to a manageable minimum.

The chemicals utilized in StockOptions kits are the same crystallization grade, ultra-high purity chemicals utilized in the Hampton Research kits. StockOptions reagents are carefully formulated under strict quality standards to ensure reliable performance and lot-to-lot consistency.

Preformulated stocks remove calculation, measurement, and formulation errors. No more second guessing how the reagent was formulated, what specific chemical was used, when it was made, or how to precisely reproduce that reagent when it is gone and more reagent is required for additional setups.

Each HR2-233 contains 21 unique reagents covering the pH range of 3.6 to 5.6 in 0.1 pH increments. Each reagent is supplied in a 10 milliliter volume and is titrated using HCl.

Grid Screen™ Sodium Chloride is a preformulated reagent kit designed to provide a rapid screening method for the crystallization of biological macromolecules.

The screen is simple and practical for finding initial crystallization conditions as well as determining the solubility of a macromolecule in Sodium chloride between pH 4.0 and 9.0.

Grid Screen Sodium Chloride evaluates Sodium chloride (HR2-219) at four concentrations (1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 4.0 M) versus six pH levels (4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9).

Grid Screen Sodium Chloride consists of 24 unique reagents, each supplied as 10 milliliter in sterile, screw cap tubes. Ready-to-use reagents are sterile filtered and formulated with ultra-pure Type 1 water, using the highest purity salt and buffers. Individual reagents are available through the Hampton Research Custom Shop.
